Off to Mont-Tremblant
Today I am off to a weekend escape to Mont-Tremblant, Québec. My 23rd birthday is Monday, so my family and I decided to pack up and head off for a little winter getaway to celebrate. We have never been to Mont-Tremblant before, but from what I’ve heard and from the pictures I’ve seen, I am 110% sure we are going to love it!
Mont-Tremblant is notorious for absolutely bone-chilling temps, so we are so, so lucky that this weekend it’s going to be about the same winter weather that we’re used to (even a little bit warmer, actually!). The high all weekend is supposed to be about 30, dipping down to about 10. Here in Syracuse we had temperatures of 25 degrees below zero earlier this week (I wish I was kidding), so this honestly sounds like a tropical getaway at this point!
So, what to pack? My theme for ski towns is of course warm, comfy, and cozy, but also a with a touch of style and class. So without further ado, here is my weekend getaway packing list for Mont-Tremblant, Québec…
Because I’m anticipating chilly winter weather, my suitcase is chock-filled with chunky sweaters. I have purchased this one from Banana Republic in multiple colors… I just can’t get enough! Bonus: it’s now on sale — such a steal! It’s super warm and cozy, and you may or may not see it featured in a post next week. This or this would be another great option.
I also plan on piling on the winter accessories, like this or this cozy knit hat and, of course, some big and chunky scarves like this one. These mittens are adorable and keep your hands nice and toasty. I also packed a huge stack of hand warmers… If you’ve never tried these then you are seriously missing out! I used to use them when I went snowboarding all the time, and my dad uses them on the reg, too! They are a serious game-changer.
Another winter weather essential? Boots! I was planning on bringing these, but I think this classic pair will be a bit warmer. The fuzzy inside will hopefully keep my toes nice and warm, because I seriously believe that there’s nothing worse than cold feet when you’re outside! To go with the boots, I am bring these thick socks. They are my favorite pair for the winter, whether I’m pairing them with Bean Boots or Uggs! I love that they are a little taller than both of those boots so that they peak out of the top — such a cute touch to a winter outfit.
Sunglasses are another must (I love this pair!). If you’re not from somewhere where you get a lot of snow, you might think this is an odd necessity, but when the sun reflects off the snow, it is super bright! Sunglasses are a year-round thing in snowy areas. And lastly, how adorable is this luggage tag? I just couldn’t resist when I was shopping the other day.
Do you have any weekend getaways planned?
If you are familiar with Mont-Tremblant, please, please, please leave your suggestions for things to do or places to eat in the area! I would love to hear.
