Signs of Winter

signs-of-winter-3

With the weather getting chillier every day, it’s starting to feel like winter is right around the corner. There have been signs of winter everywhere you go: neighbors stocking up on firewood, frost outside early in the morning, the occasional Christmas song or decoration while shopping, and even a few light snowfalls here in the Northeast.

I have been gravitating towards this outfit combo day after day for this time of year. I love the combination of a chunky knit sweater with a mini skirt and over-the-knee boots — it’s cozy and cute, and even though there’s a little bit of leg showing, it’s still juuust warm enough outside to get away with it.

I stumbled across this sweater while shopping the other day, and immediately knew I had to have it. It’s from somewhere I don’t typically shop at, so I was happily surprised to find this! The little mock turtleneck is cute and snug, and the color is to die for — I am in love with emerald green for this time of year.

This skirt is one I have featured a few times during the fall-time (see how else I styled it here and here!), and there’s no stopping me now — I just can’t get enough! I haven’t worn skirts in years, but this one is just perfect; I love the navy blue shade and A-line fit.

And can we talk about these OTK boots real quick? I am so obsessed with them! They are a tad longer than other over-the-knee boots I’ve worn, and I love how high up the leg they go. The grey shade matches just about everything, and the faux-suede material is so perfect for winter. I love pairing them with the skirt — it’s a match made in heaven!

What is your go-to outfit for the beginning of winter?

xoxo
