Snow Day Survival Guide
Growing up in the snow capital of the country (Syracuse, New York, for those wondering!), I have had my fair share of snow days. We get around 120 inches of snow each year, which is why we are no stranger to the annual Golden Snow Globe Award, which, yes, is a real thing! That being said, today I wanted to share all of my essentials for a snow day, to keep you warm and cozy! So without further ado, here is my snow day survival guide…
Whether you’re staying in at home and bundling up by a fire or venturing out into the winter wonderland, the name of the game for any snow day is warm and cozy. For a day at home, I have a few essentials that get a lot of use: fuzzy slippers are an absolute must, along with a pair of warm, soft socks. Lighting a festive candle is a given, and a cute mug is always a plus — just add a white chocolate peppermint mocha and some sweet treats and your snow day is complete.
If you’re heading out into the snow, warm winter accessories are major keys. Stock up on a few high-quality ones — trust me, it will be worth your while! Bundle up with a fuzzy hat and oversized scarf, and add a pair of fuzzy boots to keep warm. Lastly, add in some soft mittens to keep your hands toasty warm, and of course, a big fluffy coat is necessary. With these few key items, you will be warm and toasty even out in a real-life snow globe!
